The wife of Nepal’s former prime minister Jhalanath Khanal has died after being injured in a fire set by protesters, according to multiple news outlets. NDTV reported that on Tuesday, protesters, led by Gen Z, set fire to Khanal’s residence in the Dallu area of the capital Kathmandu. Rajalaxmi Chitrakar sustained critical burn injuries in the blaze. Family members confirmed she was rescued from the house and taken to Kirtipur Burn Hospital, where she later died while receiving treatment.
