Govt to procure two cargo LNG | News

DHAKA, Sept 9, 2025 (BSS) - The government today approved separate proposals for procuring two cargo of Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) to meet the country's growing demand. The approvals came from the 35th meeting of the Advisers Council Committee on Government Purchase (ACCGP) this year held today with Finance Adviser Dr. Salehuddin Ahmed in the chair. Following a proposal from the Energy and Mineral Resources Division, Petrobangla would procure one cargo LNG from the spot market using the following international quotation method from M/S Aramco Trading Singapore Pte Limited, Singapore at a cost of Taka 497.91 crore.
