DHAKA, Sept 08, 2025 (BSS) – Information and Broadcasting Adviser Md. Mahfuj Alam today said that both public and private initiatives are needed for the welfare of journalists, and such initiatives will help ensure the professional and social security of newsmen. “The government’s initiatives alone are not enough for the welfare of journalists, so the private sector should also play a role in this regard,” he said, urging insurance companies and other private institutions to come forward for the welfare of journalists.
