DHAKA, Sept 8, 2025 (BSS) - People from all walks of life today gathered at the Central Shaheed Minar this morning to pay their final respects to eminent writer, academic, intellectual and politician Badruddin Umar. His body was brought to the Shaheed Minar at 10:00 am, where writers, politicians, researchers, journalists and educationists as well offered floral tributes in honour of his lifelong contributions. Among those paying homage was intellectual and thinker Farhad Mazhar, who remembered Badruddin Umar as a towering figure, saying he will always be remembered, and that much can be learned from the path he carved throughout his life.
