WARSAW, Sept 7, 2025 (BSS/AFP) - An activist from Russian punk feminist protest group Pussy Riot has been arrested by Polish border guards with a warrant for her detention issued by Turkmenistan, Polish media reported Sunday. Asked about the whereabouts of Aisoltan Niiazova, a spokeswoman for Bialystok region's border guards in northeastern Poland told AFP "a Russian citizen was indeed arrested" Saturday. "The woman's details are in Interpol's wanted database," said Katarzyna Zdanowicz. She added that she could not reveal details about the detained person, in line with Polish legislation.
