Consensus Commission holds expert-level meeting on July National Charter | News

DHAKA, Sept 7, 2025 (BSS) – The National Consensus Commission today engaged in comprehensive discussions with legal and constitutional experts regarding the finalization of the “July National Charter 2025”, and the methods and mechanisms for its effective implementation. The meeting took place at the Foreign Service Academy in the capital and continued for over three hours, featuring extensive deliberations on the finalized draft of the Charter, said a press release of the commission. Retired Justice M A Matin of the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court, Professor Mohammad Ikramul Haque, Dean of the Faculty of Law at the University of Dhaka, and Dr. Sharif Bhuiyan and Barrister Imran Siddique, Senior Advocate of Bangladesh Supreme Court joined the meeting.
