3 fishermen jailed for entering Sundarbans without permit | District

KHULNA, Sept 7, 2025 (BSS) – Forest officials have arrested three fishermen for entering the Sundarbans without a valid permit at the Kobadak Forest Station under Satkhira Range of the Sundarbans West Forest Division. The detainees were identified as Robiul, 42, and Abul Bashar, 35, of Napti Khali village, and Md Isa, 42, of Saphkhali village in Shyamnagar upazila of Satkhira district. Sheikh Md Anisur Rahman, officer of the Kobadak Forest Station, said during a regular patrol in the Arapangashia River area, a boat was spotted from a distance around 9pm.“On approaching the boat, we asked them to show their entry permit, but they failed to produce it.
