Over 50,000 people flock to watch boat race in Sherpur | District

SHERPUR, Sept 7, 2025, (BSS) – Over 50,000 people thronged the banks of the river to watch 100-year long traditional race (Nouka Baich) competition yesterday (6 September) in the Kamarer Char union in the sadar upazila of Sherpur district. A large number of people, including men and women, enjoyed the event with great enthusiasm as banks of the river was overcrowded. President of Sherpur district unit of Jubo dal Md. Shafiqul Islam Masud attended as the chief guest in the boat race competition.
