Police training on capacity building for election duty launched | News

DHAKA, Sept 7, 2025 (BSS) - Home Adviser Lieutenant General (Retd.) Md Jahangir Alam Chowdhury today formally launched the training programme to enhance the skills and capacity of the police to perform election duties professionally. He launched the training programme at Rajarbagh Police Auditorium in the capital as the chief guest this morning. Special Assistant to Chief Adviser (Equivalent to State Minister) Md. Khuda Baksh Chowdhury, Senior Home Secretary Nasimul Ghani and Inspector General of Police (IGP) Baharul Alam, among others, were present. More than 1.5 lakh policemen will be trained through the training programme to perform duties to help secure the planned national elections in February next year.
