Govt to launch midday meals at primary schools soon

The government will launch midday meals at government primary schools in 150 upazilas of the country in late September or early October. Primary and Mass Education Adviser Professor Dr Bidhan Ranjan Roy Podder said this in a press conference at the Secretariat on Sunday, September 7, on the occasion of International Literacy Day. The government had earlier announced to introduce midday meals at primary schools in 150 upazilas by January this year but it is yet to be implemented.
