Four members of bandit group arrested from Sundarbans, firearms recovered

The Coast Guard has arrested four members of the “Sumon Bahini” bandit gang in a raid in the Sundarbans. They also seized a single-barrelled gun, four bullets, and shells. Mongla Coast Guard West Zone spokesperson Lt Md Khalid Saifullah said the arrested people were handed over to the Mongla Police Station in Bagerhat on Saturday. The arrestees are accused of conducting robberies in the forest and supplying illegal weapons and bullets to the bandit group, he added.
