One to die, 17 get life-term for murdering youth in Rupganj | Others

NARAYANGANJ, Sept 4, 2025 (BSS) - A court here today awarded capital punishment to a person and 17 others to life-term imprisonment for killing a young man at Rupganj upazila of the district. The Judge of the First District and Sessions Judge Court of Narayanganj Md Mominul Islam pronounced the judgment in presence of a life-term convict and acquitted six accused as the allegations against them were not proved. Court Inspector Abdul Quiyum said that the other accused have been absconding since long and two out of 26 accused have already died.
