Experts for protecting human rights at all workplaces | Others
DHAKA, Aug 31, 2025 (BSS) – Experts at a discussion have urged all concerned to take measures to ensure human rights in all workplaces, especially in the ready-made garment (RMG) sector, in accordance with international standards. Labour Reform Commission Chief and Executive Director of the Bangladesh Institute of Labour Studies (BILS), Syed Sultan Uddin Ahmmed, who joined the programme via teleconference, said that the mere existence of laws is not enough to prevent human rights violations in the workplace; effective implementation and monitoring are also essential.
