DHAKA, Aug 27, 2025 (BSS) - Residents of Sirajganj district today demanded the restoration of their previous seven constituencies in the Jatiya Sangsad elections, as it was in 2001. Abdul Mannan, a representative of Sirajganj district who joined the Election Commission's hearing at its auditorium, said Sirajganj had seven parliamentary seats until 2001. "In 2008, the EC reduced one seat and brought the number down to six.
