Collective efforts to protect human rights stressed | District
In the meeting, a platform was formed to enhance interpersonal communication among the human rights activists working in the grassroots. Barendra Unnayan Prochesta (BUP) organized the network meeting titled "Human Rights Defenders" at Safe Garden Restaurant in the city. With BUP Executive Director Foyzullah Chowdhury in the chair, the meeting was addressed, among others, by Assistant Director of the Department of Youth Development Shamsunnahar Khatun, Social Service Officer Abdul Momin, Executive Director of Rural Underprivileged Landless Farmers Organization Afzal Hossain and Executive Director of Anagrasar Samaj Unnayan Sangstha Raj Kumar Shaon.
