Two new factories receive LEED platinum certification | Business
DHAKA, Aug 26, 2025 (BSS) - Bangladesh's ready-made garment (RMG) sector has achieved another milestone in its sustainability journey as two more factories have received LEED platinum certification from the US Green Building Council (USGBC). With the inclusion of the two new factories, the total number of LEED-certified garment factories in the country now stands at 263, comprising 111 Platinum and 133 Gold certified units. In addition, Bangladesh now has 68 factories ranked among the top 100 highest-rated LEED-certified garment units globally, further strengthening its position as a global leader in green industrialization.
